Overview
A regional carrier faced a multi-vehicle liability claim that would have blown through a policy sized for a smaller fleet.
The risk
Atlas had grown from four trucks to twenty-two but never raised their liability limits. When one of their trailers jackknifed on the interstate, the bodily-injury claims threatened to exceed the old $1M limit.
How we structured it
We had already moved them to a $1M primary with a $5M commercial umbrella at the prior renewal, sized to the fleet they actually ran, and pre-briefed the carrier's claims team on their operation.
The outcome
The combined claims settled at $3.2M — fully inside the umbrella. Atlas paid its deductible and nothing more, and kept every contract that required proof of coverage.
